2017 VISITOR MOORAGE

Please Note*

P&R does not take reservations or post slips as reserved for dates during non peak season (mid-September to mid June) During Non peak season visitor slips are first come first serve, depending on slip depth. If a slip is accessible during non peak season, payment for overnight use must be made via the City Beach Drop on a daily basis. 


TO RESERVE A SLIP IN ADVANCE

  1. Slip availability can be determined on the web calendars for the months listed above under 2017 Slip Reservations. Click on the desired month to view openings. In progress reservations are displayed with an asterisk preceding the individual's name Ex: *SMITH.
  2. To make a reservation during peak season (June -Sept 15), call the City Beach Shop 208 Two Six Three 3379 between the hours of 7:30 a.m. and 3 p.m., after hours leave a message. Payment for in progress reservations must be received by P&R within 7 days of being made or reservation will be canceled.  Please make all checks, money orders, cashier's checks payable to City of Sandpoint in U.S. funds only. All foreign checks, money orders, and cashier checks are subject to an additional $5 bank processing fee. Send payment with your Visitor Boat Slip reservation to Sandpoint Parks and Rec. 1123 Lake Street, Sandpoint ID. 83864 or drop off in the drop box at the door of the City Beach Shop (green building near the boat launch). If paying by drop box, checks are recommended. For a cash receipt visit the shop during office hours. Once payment is received web site is updated and the asterisk is removed leaving only the individuals last name.
  3. Boats over 40' must make advance reservations; contingent on availability of adjacent slips.
  4. Use of visitor slips during off peak season is first come first serve and fees are to be paid in the drop box at the City Beach Shop (green building near the boat launch). If paying by drop box, checks are recommended.

CITY OF SANDPOINT INVASIVE SPECIES FEES

The City of Sandpoint assesses a $5/day Local Invasive Species Fee which is included in visitor moorage rates. All Invasive Species money collected will go toward non chemical removal of invasive species (milfoil and flowering rush) within city limits; primarily focusing on City Beach, Municipal Marina's, and Sand Creek. FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

 

  • Reservations for 2017 peak season begin January 1st.  Call (208) Two Six Three 3379 or (208) Two Six Three 3613.

  • All reservable visitor slips are available as of 10 a.m.

  • At City Beach visitor moorage is defined as 2 week (14 nights) per month maximum. Customers who Moore there boat for the max of 2 weeks are welcome to stay the night their 14th day, but must remove their boat by 10 a.m. the following morning as all slips are available as of 10 a.m.

  • At the Windbag visitor moorage is defined as 3 days max per week.

  • City owned temporary boat slips are accessible form roughly June to mid-September due to the raising and lowering of Lake Pend Oreille.

  • All fees must be paid in U.S. funds at the time you dock. Visitors from outside the United States please add an additional $5 to your payment to cover bank service fees if paying by check, money order, or cashiers check . Payments may be deposited at provided drop boxes near visitor slips, the City Beach Beach Shop (208) Two Six Three 3379, or in advance at Sandpoint City Hall Parks and Rec. Dept. 1123 Lake St. Sandpoint ID 83864 (208) Two Six Three 3613.

  • The City of Sandpoint now accepts debit or credit for payment of visitor moorage IF payment is made in person at City Hall. (We don't yet have the ability to accept payment electronically over the phone) If you choose in person use of debit or credit, please be aware that your card company will charge a convenience fee of $2 or 3% whichever is greater in addition to moorage fees charged by the City.
